在大中型高校图书馆现代信息技术和服务水平不断提高的情况下, 珠江三角洲一批地区中小型高等学校图书馆服务模式面临着转变, 这些图书馆有共同的特征, 面临的困难也相似。本文根椐作者所在图书馆的现代化发展方案, 为这类图书馆现代化建设提供一个参考模式。

With the development and intensification of synthesized strength of the small cities in the Pearl River Delta, a lot of small colleges were built. These kinds of colleges are called “Regional College”. Today, more and more campus networks are being connected in the universities in the Pearl River Delta. These libraries set up their own multi-media room connected with the Internet and have successfully changed their service pattern and intensified the library functions. It is the right time for a small academic library to build up its network system to change its service pattern and functions, As a small academic library,limited by its funds and modern information technologies for a large system , we propose a pattern for a small academic library. The total investment of equipments could be with in RMB400, 000 by a well- conceived plan.
